Today Louisiana State Treasurer John Schroder and New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell joined to talk about the "Main Street Recovery Program." It is the latest program designed to help businesses impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, and this one is meant for enterprises that haven't received any other form of help yet.
The Main Street Recovery Program is meant for businesses that missed out on PPP or other assistance.
"It's a reimbursement program for expenses while you have been facing a shutdown," said Schroder. "It covers things like rent, utilities, payroll."
Schroder said a lot of entrepreneurs missed out on other assistance, but there's no reason their businesses have to suffer.
"You invest your blood, sweat, tears into your business and you shouldn't have to see your life investment collapse overnight," said Schroder.
The state starts taking those applications tomorrow. Click here for more information.
