New Orleans city councilman Jason Williams is calling on telecom and utility companies like COX, Sewerage and Water Board and Entergy to put a halt to service disconnections until further notice amid concerns over the coronavirus.
He released a statement today saying, “These services are vital so that our children would be able to work remotely, as New Orleans public schools testified yesterday they are preparing to do if needed, and families are able to wash hands and clothes as recommended by public health officials. Together, we can fight this pandemic and bounce back as New Orleanians always do!”
