N.O. ranked #1 in business as a logistics leader for 2020

New Orleans wins several business awards include the top spot as a global ‘logistics leader’.

New Orleans won first place award, as ‘Logistics Leader’ is Business Facilities’ 2020 Metro and State Ranking Report.

“For 300 Years, New Orleans has been the business gateway to America and the world. Local businesses benefit from incredible multimodal transportation (rail, air, truck, barge and ship) and value-added offerings, including warehousing, storage, third-party logistics providers, state-of-the-art facilities, rail connectivity, port operations, ground and air freight, and wholesalers,” the ranking report said.

Other awards New Orleans took home were:

#1 – Foreign Trade Zone imports

#6 – Global Domestic Product leader

#9 – Tech Hub Growth

The state of Louisiana also won several awards from the business magazine’s ranking of global business.

The state awards include:

#1 - Workforce Development / Talent Attraction (FastStart, 11th year in a row)

#1 - for Lowest Industrial Electricity Rates

#2 - for Manufacturing Output

#2 - for FTZ Activity

#3 - for Film Production

#9 - for Foreign Direct Investment
