The NOPD arrested a subject in the Seventh District for domestic aggravated assault and possession of narcotics.
Last Wednesday 4 a.m., police say 24-year-old Kendall Lane, arrived to the victim’s residence in the 6800 block of Cindy Place to discover another male there.
When the other male fled the location, Lane is accused of striking the victim with his fists and threatening her with a semi-automatic handgun. As Lane attempted to leave the location, he locked himself out of his truck, which also contained the handgun. Lane left the location on foot.
As the officers were documenting the report, Lane returned with a spare key and attempted to recover his truck. He was taken into custody without resistance.
A search was conducted and the handgun was located inside in a backpack, which also contained narcotics.
Lane was transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center where he was booked.
