New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 3500 block of DeSaix Boulevard.
Police say shortly after 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a victim shot inside a house in that area.
"Upon arrival, officers discovered one adult male victim inside the residence suffering from apparent gunshot wounds," said police in a statement. "The victim was pronounced dead on scene by EMS."
Police said the initial investigation found that two men, wearing ski masks, entered the home and shot the victim.
