The NOPD is investigating an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred in the Fifth District.
Cops got the call, which occurred in the 1200 block of Tennessee Street, around 11:22 a.m.
When responding officers arrived, they discovered a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.
The victim was transported to a local hospital.
