New Orleans Police have secured a search warrant for the carrier that provides Seth Dunlap's cell phone service.

WWL TV reports detectives working to determine if Dunlap sent a homophobic tweet using WWL radio's official Twitter account issued the warrant to T-Mobile.

Dunlap, an openly gay radio sports host, was the target of the tweet.

According to a police report, a digital forensic expert hired by WWL and Entercom Communications concluded that the tweeted slur came from Dunlap's own phone.

"The tweet was sent from an IP address associated with Mr. Dunlap's personal cell phone," according to the complaint filed with NOPD.

Dunlap's lawyer says the radio host took a lie detector test that "completely exonerated Seth from any involvement in the offense tweet."

Megan Kiefer also claims Dunlap was subjected to an anti-gay work environment during his nine years he was employed at WWL.

Radio station management and Entercom say WWL and the parent company support all members of the LGBTQ+ community.
