A Columbus, Ohio man has come down with corornavirus after traveling to New Orleans to board a cruise ship for Mexico.
The Columbus Dispatch reports the 49-year-old sailed aboard the Carnival Valor February 29th to the island of Cozumel and the Yucatan Peninsula and returned to New Orleans March 5th.
After returning home the man started experiencing symptoms of CoVID-19 infection.
He is now in isolation and recuperating.
Columbus health commissioner Dr. Mysheika Roberts says the man is unemployed and might have been part of a group from central Ohio that took the cruise.
Roberts is asking are anyone who was on the same cruise ship to call the Columbus health department.
