The latest U.S. Home Affordability Report from ATTOM Data Solutions finds (no big surprise) Orleans Parish has the highest home prices in the state.
The report also breaks down the percentage of wages needed to pay on a home loan. Orleans again led the way with 34.9% of wages dedicated to servicing the note. Caddo Parish is among the lowest with 23.8% of weekly wages needed to pay on a home loan.
The prices and affordability of homes on the scale is broken down in a range from 71 (least affordable) to 158 (most affordable). Orleans Parish came in at 71. Calcasieu had the most affordable rating at 108.
Orleans Parish again lead the state in home prices with an average of $250-thousand.
