Our body may be out of whack with Daylight Saving Time this weekend

This weekend we are going to be springing forward one hour as we set the clocks ahead, but how are we going to feel the next few days of Daylight Saving Time.

You're probably not getting enough sleep now but add another hour lost and your internal clock is in an uproar.

Dr. Marlon Joseph with Ochsner Health Center on the Westbank says whether you really feel it is up to you.  Everyone is different.

"We all have our internal clocks that are set by our brains and synced to the sun light that we are used to in a certain time of day," Joseph said.

Joseph says when it gets tweaked like it will this weekend we'll experience that sunlight at a different time which means ....

"The  internal clock may not wake us up as well in the morning and that could be some noticeable differences," he noted.

Going to bed an hour earlier on Sunday night will certainly help your body.

He suggests no alcohol before bed and no caffeine, and you may want to keep that TV off before bed.  That will definitely affect how you sleep.

Remember to turn those clocks ahead one hour before hitting the sack Saturday night.
