Parking restrictions remain lifted in N.O. ahead of Laura

As Laura strengths to a category 3 hurricane, on its way to make landfall at the Texas-Louisiana state line, New Orleans braces for her impact.

The city lifted parking restrictions in anticipation of Marco making landfall but the storm fizzled-out along with its threat.

Now, city officials turn their attention to Laura those lifted parking restriction remain in effect.

“The @CityofNola will continue to allow neutral ground parking until further notice,” city officals said in a NolaReady tweet Wednesday morning.

Residents can leave their vehicles on city neutral grounds and sidewalks. The city also reminds residents to not park large trucks such as 18-wheelers or other heavy equipment on the neutral grounds.
