With that first pick, most experts expect the Pelicans to select Duke star Zion Williamson but whatever, the excitement went on through the night.
Mike Stanfield, Senior Vice President of Sales for the Pelicans, says they were celebrating and selling tickets like crazy.

He says they expect to keep the ticket sales going and that should be a game changer.
''I think the basketball folks will make the right decision and set the future for the entire Gulf South,'' Stanfield said.
He says they promise customer service and hopefully an exciting season ahead.
