The New Orleans Pelicans have traded forward Wesley Johnson to the Washington Wizards in exchange for forward Markieff Morris and a second round pick, according to multiple reports.
Morris is averaging 11.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game this season. He is not signed beyond this season.
Johnson was averaging less than three points per game for the Pelicans, but will provide the Wizards with some salary cap relief, reportedly getting them under the luxury tax threshold.
Pelicans make a deal before the deadline, but not THAT onehttps://t.co/26p67okIfT
