Today was almost spring-like with temperatures in the 70s, but we are in for some changes and it all begins on Thursday.

"We may see more low 80s tomorrow as a return flow from the Gulf increases the warm air ahead of a cold front on the way for late Thursday/early Friday," WWL-TV chief meteorologist Chris Franklin said.  "Only expecting about a 40-50% chance for scattered showers in the afternoon and evening."

It's expected that most of the rain will be gone by early Friday morning, but the clouds look to stick around into the afternoon. Temperatures will remain in the 50s with a breeze from the north making it feel chilly and pretty gloomy.

Skies begin to clear Friday night and a cold morning is expected Saturday.  Look for the weekend to be spectacular.  Then another cold front looks to move through early Tuesday.

"This will increase rain chances to around 70% Monday and 50% Tuesday morning with temps staying in the 40s Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon," Franklin said.  "Morning lows Wednesday are likely to be int he upper 20s North and mid to upper 30s South."

Northshore folks will have a moderate freeze.  Winter is definitely coming by next week.
