It's advantageous the Superdome is a dome, because there's no way the College Football National Championship game is getting rained out.

The old adage, 'wait five minutes and the weather will change' is on the minds of a lot of outdoor retailers, vendors, and tailgaters alike as the National Weather Service is predicting a up to an 80% chance of rain for Sunday night into Monday afternoon.

Temperatures will be in the low 70's so daytime humidity is also a factor.

Monday night the chance for precipitation will be going down to just 20%.

The big game kicks off at 7:15pm.

The rain is supposed to stick around on-and-off through out the week as well.

In a city where an emphasis on walking is paramount to getting around, wet weather requires carrying an umbrella or wearing a poncho, especially if the rainfall drags on approaching game time.

The good news is umbrellas are ALLOWED in the Superdome, it's those 23 other items on the list that you need to leave behind.
