A dense fog advisory is in effect until 9 a.m. Monday morning as foggy conditions continue into Monday morning.
"The highest chance for showers and a few thunderstorms will be Monday morning and early afternoon," said WWL-TV meteorologist Payton Malone. "No severe weather is expected, and rain amounts look like roughly a half-inch to an inch."
The rain should pretty much end by the afternoon, and maybe just a chance for spotty showers will remain in the forecast.
It'll be springlike Tuesday through Friday with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s each afternoon. A few spotty showers will be possible each day.
The next strong cold front arrives Saturday with showers and thunderstorms. It looks like much cooler air will follow behind this front. High temperatures may only be in the 50s at the start of next week.
