Renters in New Orleans who are about to be evicted can get rental assistance form the city.
Starting today, the City's Office of Community Development will begin taking applications from tenants in need of help paying their rent and who face immediate eviction.
The city says funding for rental assistance is limited and for tenants finacially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic
“Funding will only be available for members of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) designated vulnerable populations. Applicants must have experienced a loss of income related to COVID-19 and will likely become homeless within the next 30 days without financial assistance,” according to NolaReady.
