After Mardi Gras 2019, the Rex Organization will have its floats built by a new designer, WWL-TV reports. For more than 65 years, the floats for the Fat Tuesday parade that carries the King of Carnival have been built by Kern Studios.
The TV station reports the organization will announce its new float-builder after Mardi Gras, but Royal Artists posted on their Facebook page that they will handle the work for Mardi Gras 2020.
Royal Artists, around since 1975, also makes floats for Proteus, Chaos, and Krewe d'Etat.
