Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk will open for The Rolling Stones when the legendary rock band plays the Superdome this summer.

Dumpstaphunk would have been the act immediately preceding the Stones on the Acura Stage at Jazz Fest, had the tour not been abruptly canceled by lead singer Mick Jagger's need for heart surgery.

The band has a long connection with The Rolling Stones -- Ivan Neville has collaborated with Stones' guitarist Keith Richards and appeared on the Voodoo Lounge LP.

The Rolling Stones perform Sunday, July 14 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
