Health officials at the Metropolitan Human Services District want you to enjoy a drug and alcohol-free Mardi Gras at one of their Safe Zones.
MHSD partnered with the New Orleans Police Department to set up tents and mobile units at specific locations along certain parade routes. These Safe Zones will be a place where families can safely and securely enjoy the parades in a drug and alcohol-free area.
Here is are the parades where you can find an MHSD Safe Zone:
Krewe of Nefertiti
Krewe of Alla
Knights of Nemesis
Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale
Krewe of Morpheus
Krewe of NOMTOC
Krewe of Zulu
