China, the border crisis, and boosting the oil and gas business in the Gulf of Mexico are among the more pressing items on President Donald Trump's agenda according to Louisiana Congressman and House Minority Whip Steve Scalise.
Scalise is traveling with the president. He says energy production will be very important in the discussion.
''We are going to be talking about all forms of energy production and how coastal restoration is clearly tied to what we do offshore,'' Scalise said.
On the border crisis with Mexico, Scalise says President Trump is obviously upset.
''We are having days right now when we have two to four thousand people crossing illegally everyday, it's something we've got to get control of,'' said Scalise.
But he says Democrats in Congress are totally preoccupied with the Mueller report and pressing the Attorney General for more information.
On China, Scalise says the president has to play hardball because the Chinese because they have been known to cheat on agreements and not comply, which he says is costing the U.S. a fortune.
