A lawmaker from Louisiana is part of the panel to determine how to get America back to work.
Congressman Steve Scalise of Metairie says he is going to be joining some of the top minds in the nation to find the best ways to get the economy up and running again.
"I was honored today to be formally asked by the president to join his taskforce to reopen the economy."
The Republican Whip stressed it will not be a plan that sacrifices lives to jump-start the economy.
"We're not talking about picking a choice between safety and economic recovery. You can do both, and we have to do both."
Scalise said the plan is not going to call for just lifting all restrictions at once.
"When we come back, it will probably be a gradual pace."
