After steady declines recently in the number of people hospitalized in Louisiana with coronavirus, and only occasional increases, the state has now seen two days in a row with the patient count rising.
The Louisiana Department of Health today reported a net 12 more people with the virus in the hospital.
Yesterday the state reported 14 more hospitalizations.
The number of newly confirmed cases today increased by 553.
It comes amid steadily climbing numbers in states all around Louisiana, most notably Texas and Arkansas.
