Thibodaux Police arrested a 51-year-old man for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.
Cops responded to a report of shots fired at a business in the 700 block of St. Mary Street, Monday, just after 10:30 p.m.
When they got there, officers learned through their investigation that there was a disturbance between two parties, following a pool game. The disagreement led into the parking lot of the business, where a subject later identified as Walter Dumas allegedly pulled a firearm from a vehicle. Cops say Dumas then fired a shot toward the other party’s vehicle, causing the vehicle to be struck by a projectile.
Although Dumas fled the scene before police arrived, he later came into the Thibodaux Police Department and confessed to Detectives. He was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex, with a $10,000.00 Personal Recognizance Bond.
