The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office says a Slidell-area man and woman are charged with cruelty to a juvenile in a case involving a three-month-old boy who died after being taken to the hospital.
The sheriff's office says the child was found unresponsive Monday and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The coroner's office says the child had a broken arm and the injury was determined to be non-accidental.
The investigation into the child's death is ongoing, but deputies have booked the child's parents, 28-year-old Kevin Scott and 27-year-old Samantha Hotard, on charges of cruelty to a juvenile.
