Need to get away to Florida on the cheap?
Spirit Airlines started new service between New Orleans and Ft. Lauderdale Thursday.
The affordable air carrier launched two daily flights to and from Armstrong International to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
The carrier says they will add an additional daily flight between April and June starting April 23rd.
The additional service is being added as Spirit attempts to become Ft. Lauderdale's largest international carrier.
The announcement was made by Armstrong International Airport by tweet:
