Spring-like today with severe weather threat Wednesday

weather

Spring-like weather followed by the threat of severe storms on Wednesday.

Today will be warm and muggy patchy fog in the morning and temperatures in the 60s.

WWL-TV’s Meteorologists Dave Nussbaum says, “We will have an unseasonably warm and humid day as southwest to southeast winds move over us. A weakening cold front will move in from the north and stall over us today. It will set off spotty showers and storms. A few storms could be strong to severe with large hail, especially across the Northshore. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the Northshore and MS Coast in a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe weather today. High temperatures will be around 80. Scattered showers and a few storms will continue tonight with lows in the 60s.”
