Could we see an increase of rain to start off the work week? It's possible but the heat and humidity will remain.
"When it’s not raining, it will still be hot," said WWL-TV meteorologist Alexandra Cranford. "Highs should make it to low 90s and heat indices will be 100-105 again."
We could see some spotty showers on the northshore by daybreak on Monday.
Midweek looks dry and quite hot with only isolated storms here and there.
Humidity could drop slightly toward the end of the week, but still plenty hot.
The good news is nothing happening in the tropics for the next few days.
