A line of heavy thunderstorms that brought severe weather to the Baton Rouge area earlier today is making its way across the New Orleans area.
"A lot of storms moving through the area right now," said WWL-TV meteorologist Dave Nussbaum. "Watch out for some very heavy rain that could cause some street flooding issues."
"As we head to about, say, one, two o'clock in the afternoon, the line will be over to the Mississippi coast, and we'll be in the clear here across the metro area," said Nussbaum.
