Strong end to the week for stocks and oil

Sharp gains to end the week on Wall Street, as fears of an economic slowdown continued to wane.

The Dow Jones Industrials finished 336 points higher, while the Nasdaq Composite jumped 72.

Oil futures soared today, thanks in part to a report that the U-S could be ready to ease tariffs on China. Data showing the biggest weekly decline in the U.S. oil-rig count in nearly three years also contributed to the gains. February crude rallied 3.3% to settle at $53.80 a barrel.
