We are in the hot summer months in New Orleans and this is usually the time when tourism slows down in the Big Easy, or does it?
We normally think of June, July and August as a time when things get slow in New Orleans. The warm humid summer may be the reason for that.
President and CEO of New Orleans Tourism Marketing, Mark Romig says don't blame the weather.
"I always say the AC is always running in all the restaurants, bars and hotels, and I think you can have a good time in New Orleans no matter what the temperature is," said Romig.
Romig just look at each weekend of the summer months and see a festival or a special event happening in New Orleans.
"Essence Festival coming up in July, Bastille Day, Running of the Bulls, and later White Linen night, and Dirty Linen night," Romig noted.
He says there are more than 25 thousand hotel rooms within walking distance of the Superdome and French Quarter,
