Summer today - Winter tomorrow with some storms in between

Cold Front Coming

Summer has returned to end November in Louisiana.

"Expect more locations near or above 80... with strong winds from the south also increasing humidity," WWL TV Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin forecast for Saturday.  "Not a very fall-like feel Saturday ahead of a cold front."

That cold front will knock us into winter for next week.  First it will bring some rain and storms.

"The front looks to move through late Saturday and early Sunday morning. An isolated strong to severe storm can't be ruled out, but the risk is very low."

There's a Marginal Risk of severe weather tonight NW of a Tylertown-Baton Rouge line and a Slight Risk north of a Smithdale-Morganza line. Threat begins after 9 pm near Baton Rouge and McComb, midnight near Lake Pontchartrain, after 1 am on Mississippi coast. #lawx #mswx pic.twitter.com/w7vxLVsgXn

Franklin says the bulk of the rain will fall overnight, but a few showers are possible near the end of the LSU - A&M game in Baton Rouge tonight.

"Temps will drop on Sunday and it looks to be a pretty afternoon! Perfect timing as Sunday is December 1. A chilly morning Monday with lows in the 30s and 40s with afternoon temps remaining in the 50s. Near or just below freezing Tuesday morning on the Northshore and some spots away from the city and a gradual warm up before the next front by the end of the work week."
