Around 7:30 this morning a man driving a minivan was stopped for traffic violation in Port Allen.
The man, 44-year old Ruben Guadarrama Delgado of Shafter, California, was travelling with a 22-year-old female passenger.
The passenger said Delgado had coerced her into travelling east with him to engage in sex trafficking.
State Patrol trooper said Delgado was acting suspiciously and they suspected him of wrongdoing.
After the passenger came clean, troopers contacted the LSP Special Victims Unit to arrest Delgado and take over the case.
Delgado was booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Jail on charges of human trafficking, false imprisonment, and improper lane usage.
