The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting where a woman and her 2-month-old baby were injured this evening in Avondale.
The incident happened around 5:30 in the area near Butler Drive and Dester Drive, according to JPSO.
The woman was shot in the arm and the baby was injured in the leg, according to reports.
The injuries are not life threatening.
