Three New Orleans parades move up start times Saturday

Three Uptown New Orleans parades are moving up their start times in the hope of avoiding bad weather. The city's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness today announced the krewes of Pontchartrain, Choctaw, and Freret will go earlier than originally scheduled.

Saturday's Krewe of Adonis parade, which starts in Algiers, is scheduled to begin at 11:45 a.m. 

The Mystic Krewe of Titans has rescheduled from Saturday in Slidell to Sunday at 5:00 p.m. Sunday's Krewe of Dionysus will begin Sunday at 2:00 p.m. instead of 1:00 p.m.
