Was it once again too much rain in a fairly short period of time, or a drainage system failure? The latest incident will be investigated as the pressure continues to mount on the Sewerage and Water Board and the city of New Orleans..

City Councilman Joe Giarrusso has a number of questions he wants answered including why certain sections of the city seem to get more high water than others.

"Did they get the back up going to change the power over to get the back up and running, I don't have the answer to that,'' Giarrusso said.

Looking to the future Giarrusso believes many residents want infrastructure upgrades

"They want to have the type of retention that they want and secondly we've got to start moving this gray infrastructure plan into a green one," Giarrusso said.

According to the Sewerage & Water Board, one of the pumps at Drainage Pump Station 7, which services the area around City Park, lost power around 5 a.m. Giarrusso expects more questions to be asked in the days ahead and the full story in revived.
