President Donald Trump visits New Orleans today. He speaks at the American Farm Bureau Federation 100th Annual Convention.
Air Force One arrives in New Orleans after 10:30am. Police will shut down the I-10 from the airport to the Morial Convention Center for the presidential motorcade.
Mr. Trump is schedule to speak around 11:30am.
The I-10 will be closed again when the president returns to the airport after the address to farmers.
In the past, such visits have impacted roads across the east banks of both Orleans and Jefferson Parishes.
If you don't want to get caught up in that mess you may want to avoid driving in New Orleans, Metairie and Kenner between about 10:00am and 2:00pm.
