Three people were shot late Tuesday night in the New Orleans East community of Littlewoods.
The shooting occured around 10:15pm on the 71-hundred block of Salem Drive near the intersection of Middleboro Road. Seventh District officers arrived
All three shooting victims were taken to a hospital in a private vehicle.
Detectives learned that the victims were reportedly standing outside at the location when unknown subjects in a vehicle allegedly drove by and opened fire.
One of the victims in this incident later died at the hospital during the early morning hours of Wednesday.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.
