A Tulane University football player has been arrested for allegedly attacking a young woman at a Waffle House in Zachary Louisiana.
East Baton Rouge Police say Tyler Judson dealt a devastating one-punch to 18-year-old Denisha Coleman’s face. She is hospitalized in an intensive care unit.
As WWL-TV reports, witnesses say the punch flipped Denisha to the ground. Her mother Desiree Coleman said the two didn’t know each other and that Denisha’s injures are horrific.
“She had multiple facial fractures. She has to have surgery, but it's not clear what the surgery's going to be until some of the swelling goes down,” said Desiree Coleman.
This is what Denisha looked like after a trip to the ICU. She's at home now, but her eyes are still swollen shut. Her mom says she'll likely need surgery on a broken nose & fractures around her eye.Mom says she and Tyler did not know each other. @WWLTV pic.twitter.com/E0OhYnElTt

May 28, 2020 "I said ‘Don't worry baby.' I said 'Don't worry about what I see. You're going to be ok.’ I said, 'But I just need to step out and talk to the nurse.' But I needed to get out because it was that horrible," said her mother.
In a Statement, Tulane Athletics wrote “Tulane Athletics is aware of Tyler Judson’s arrest. He has been suspended indefinitely from the Tulane football program. Tulane Athletics will have no further comment at this time."
