Two strong cold fronts move will move across Louisiana, bringing with it possibly severe thunderstorms and damaging winds, tornadoes and hail. The second cold front moves in by Saturday.
WWL-TV’s Dave Nussbaum says, “Heavy rain is also expected with rain totals around 1-3" possible. Watch out for some street flooding. The first round is early this morning and then a second round with the cold front arrives late-morning and into the afternoon. The Storm Prediction Center has all of SE Louisiana in a Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) for severe weather today. We will stay warm and humid all day with highs in the mid-80s. The rain will end this evening and it will become clear tonight. Lows will be around 60 north and in the upper 60s south.”
