The Joint Parish no-death streak ends at two days. 2-days for Jefferson, 4 days for Orleans.
In all 19 new cases have been reported in the two parishes with the largest numbers of COVID-19 infections.
According to the Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate, the state has averaged well below 400 new cases a day.
However, reporting issues have shown spikes as older tests have revealed cases from the past.
The death ends a 2-day streak Jefferson had gone without a victim succumbing to the disease.
