Two dead on Northshore may be result of murder-suicide

Cops say they are not looking for a killer despite finding two people shot dead in a Tangipahoa Parish home.

"Sheriff Daniel Edwards releases names of deceased male and female located inside a Ponchatoula residence early this morning," Spokeswoman Dawn Panepinto said in a news release.

She says the bodies of 41 -year-old Mica Sood Fitzhugh and 44 -year -old Robert Wolfe were discovered this morning.

It came "after deputies responded to the residence in reference to a welfare check... deputies located two subjects with subsequent fatal gunshot wounds."

The sheriff's office and the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab have been investigating.

"Investigators concluded their efforts and released the bodies to the Tangipahoa Parish Coroner's Office for a full forensic review. Preliminary investigation indicates the incident to be domestic in nature."

Both lived in the home on Kraft Rd. in Ponchatoula.  

"Sheriff Edwards would like to reiterate that no suspects are being sought in connection to this investigation at this time."

Police have not released further details.
