Two schools in the Gentilly area are closed today because of low water pressure issues.
Holy Cross School Officer Eric Desormeaux sent a message to parents that Holy Cross is closed to all students grades 5 through 12 because of a "massive" water leak on Cartier Avenue.
The primary campus for PK through 4th grade on Elysian Fields remains open.
John F. Kennedy High School announced that officials are closing their school due to a water leak as well.
Crews are being sent out by the Sewerage and Water Board to fix the leak. There is no timeline as to when the work will be done at this moment.
