For more than ten season, Marques Colston let his excellent play do the talking.

Now, he'll be lecturing students as a professor at the University of New Orleans.

Five years ago when I retired from football I wouldn’t have guessed I’d find a passion in teaching and education. Yet, here we are.I’m excited to start as an adjunct professor at @UofNO this fall. It’ll be an interesting semester, but I’m ready to attack the new challenge.

"The Quiet Storm" did not elborate on what course he would be teaching.

The Saints selected Colston with the 252nd pick of the 2006 NFL Draft -- so late in the seventh round, he was three picks away from being "Mr. Irrelevant," the final selection of the draft. Colston's hard work took his long-shot odds and became an instant standout, catching the first touchdown pass in Drew Brees' Saints career.

In six of his ten season, he had more than 1,000 receiving yards. Colston's final season was in 2015.
