UPDATE at 10:50am: Apparent suspect found dead

Police say a woman shot and killed a man in Livingston Parish Sunday night.

"Just after 8:00p on July 21, 2019, deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Pinecrest Dr. in Denham Springs in reference to a shooting," according to a news release

Sheriff Jason Ard said, "A male has died following multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso area.  This is believed to be a domestic-related incident."

He says it appears the victim and suspect were involved in a romantic relationship.

The man is identified as 26-year-old Ronald Cyrus, II.

"A specific motive is unclear at this hour. Anyone with information on the suspect is encouraged to call us."

After asking for help finding the suspect, Jacqueline Danyell Rosaya, Sheriff Jason Ard later announced that it appeared her body had been located.

"We we’re notified by our partners with the Zachary Police Department that the body of a female closely matching the description of Jacqueline Danyell Rosaya was located around 6:30a this morning in the 5,000 block of E Central Avenue in Zachary.  It appears, from the evidence on hand at this time, that this female died from injuries sustained from a self-inflicted gunshot wound."
