So what does Vegas think of the Saints' chances this year? If sports books are any predictor, you can count on seeing the Saints play in January, 2020, says odds maker consultant Raphael Esparza with mybookie.ag.


"A lot of money, we have a prop bet, just to make the playoffs, the Saints are -290, the 'no' is +230," he said, meaning you need to bet nearly $300 just to win $100 if the Saints make it -- in other words, the sports books think the Saints have pretty good chances. 

As for the Super Bowl? The Saints are the favorites to represent the NFC, although the AFC's Chiefs and Patriots both have better odds right now of winning.

"A lot of people think the Saints can make it to the Super Bowl," said Esparza. "Maybe not that many people think the Saints think they can cash a ticket to win that Super Bowl."
