Strief: Bridgewater decision shows stability of Saints organization

Despite all the rumors and speculation that comes with NFL free agency, it appears Saints back up quarterback Teddy Bridgewater isn't going anywhere.

The NFL Network reports that in spite of a better-money offer from Miami, Bridgewater will stay with the Saints.

The Voice of the Saints, Zach Strief, says he thinks Bridgewater was attracted to stability here.

''Where you have a coach that's comfortable and confident that he's going to be around, a general manager who is going to be around, you have a bunch of people doing what's good for the organization and not for themselves,'' said Strief.

Strief adds that the locker room culture and prospect of one day becoming the Saints starting quarterback also helped in the decision.

"Teddy is a pocket passer, he's really accurate, he's a smart guy and that's been his M.O. since coming out of college that he can absorb it and implement it,'' Strief said.

Bridgewater was considered one of the top free agent quarterbacks on the market this season. He was  acquired by the Saints last August for a third round pick in a trade with the New York Jets.  Strief says Saints fans have reason to be pleased with this decision, and hope for the future.
