People in the New Orleans metro area who wanted to get tested at the drive-thru testing sites but did not have a car, now have a new walk-in testing site in Gert Town.
The city of New Orleans announced a new walk-in only testing site at Xavier University. The testing location will be in Xavier’s Lot W, 3600 Pine Street in New Orleans, Tuesday through Friday 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Nola Ready says the walk-in mobile testing site is the focus of an LCMC Health and the New Orleans Health Department COVID-19 testing campaign. The goal is to bring testing sites to communities that may have limited-access to drive-thru testing sites.
To get tested at the walk-in site you must be at least 18 years old, have been recently exposed to the virus, and recently experiencing coronavirus symptoms.
