Warbucks, an eclectic restaurant inspired by 1990's rap music, its culture and skateboarding, is calling it quits Saturday night after just eight months in business.

The brain-child of Todd Pulsinelli, a well known local chef from Restaurant August and an aspiring rapper himself, sought to bring a mixture of tastes and styles in a welcoming setting on Magazine Street's Restaurant Row.  The eatery featured Korean hot fries, pork belly lettuce wraps, and traditional favorites like steak and eggs and burgers.

According to The Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate Todd and Elizabeth Pulsinelli partnered with BRG Hospitality in the venture.  Despite Warbucks leaving the market, employees will be offered jobs at other BRG restaurants.

BRG says they will be opening another restaurant in place of Warbucks sometime in the fall.  Details are not known at this time.

Warbucks joins notables such as Sucre, Balise, and Gene's Po-Boys leaving the restaurant scene recently.
