Warm and muggy this week with fog in the mornings, too

The unseasonably warm weather continues for southeast Louisiana for the next few days.  Expect fog in the morning hours, also. as commuters head to work.  

Rain chances remain low until the end of the week.  


"We will have a warm and humid day again as a front remains stalled just north of New Orleans," said local weather expert WWL-TV meteorologist Dave Nussbaum.  "This front will set off a few showers and storms today with mostly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the lower 80s.  Tonight will have more dense fog and a stray shower or two. Lows will be in the lower to mid 60s."

MONDAY:Patchy fog, then mostly cloudy and warm with a 20% chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms. Highs around 82. Wind S 5-10 mph.

MONDAY NIGHT:Cloudy and mild with patchy dense fog and a 10% chance for a shower. Lows around 64. Wind E 3-8 mph.

TUESDAY:Patchy fog early, then mostly cloudy and very mild. Highs around 77. Wind SE 5-10 mph.

WEDNESDAY:Patchy fog early, then mostly cloudy, breezy and warm with a 20% chance for a shower. Lows around 64. Highs around 82.

THURSDAY:Patchy fog early, then mostly cloudy, breezy and warm with a 60% chance for showers and thunderstorms. A few could be strong with some heavy rain. Lows around 70. Highs around 82.

FRIDAY:Mostly cloudy, breezy and turning much cooler with a 50% chance for showers and thunderstorms. Lows around 58. Highs around 67.

SATURDAY:Partly cloudy, breezy and cool with a 30% chance for spotty showers. Lows north of the lake around 47 and south around 50. Highs around 60.

SUNDAY:Partly cloudy and cool. Lows north of the lake around 44 and south around 48. Highs around 63.
